Access Hollywood has learned from reliable sources that Jennifer Lopez is scheduled to perform on “American Idol” on April 11.

J. Lo joins a long line of big-time acts to take the “Idol” stage over the years, including Prince, Mary J. Blige, Rascal Flatts, Shakira and more.

Rick Williams: Jennifer, what’s it like to be at the Oscars?

“It’s an amazing night, a great honor,” Lopez said. “Like I said, it’s my eighth time I’ve been invited, so it’s a great honor just being asked to come. The night has so much energy…it’s hard to describe it, but the best way I can think of it is it being this beautiful night, a bunch of artists come together to celebrate the best of the year. It always has such a great energy. You can feel that (the energy) when you watch at home. It has this glamorous, beautiful quality to it, and they always do such a great job with the show. I’m really excited to see it, especially since Ellen (Degeneres) is hosting for the first time.”

Rick Williams: Jennifer, have you decided what you will wear, or will you wait and see what everyone else is going to wear?

“No, I don’t see what everybody else is going to wear, like at home and be the last one to the red carpet,” Lopez jokingly responded. “No, we chose beforehand…not so much beforehand, but not that late either. I haven’t chosen yet. I’m sure I’ll wait until the last second.”

Jennifer Lopez will be presenting an award at this Sunday’s 79th Annual Academy Awards, also known as the Oscars! The program will air on February 25th at 8PM on ABC.

Here is a review to Jennifer Lopez’s Bordertown movie, based on the screening recently at the film festival in Germany. Unfortunately, for the most part it is a negative review, but an inside look at the movie nonetheless.

Gregory Nava’s “Bordertown” is several sprockets short of a real film.

It wants to be a thriller, a piece of investigative journalism, a political soapbox and a vehicle for Jennifer Lopez. It serves none of these masters well. There also is something disingenuous about a movie that claims that the media on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border are too afraid or corrupt to expose the hundreds of rapes and murders of Latina factory workers in Ciudad Juarez and Chihuahua, Mexico, in recent years when the filmmaker no doubt learned about this tragic situation from countless media stories.
