Jennifer Lopez’s next single will be the funky retro track ‘Cherry Pie’ - many fans’ personal favourite from her Gold-certified top ten album, ‘Rebirth’, which has sold over 1.5 million copies worldwide. It’s produced by Corey Rooney and Tim and Bob - they did Sisqo’s ‘Thong Song’ and Bobby Valentino’s ‘Slow Down’- and is out on 29th August. Watch out for the usual slammin’ remixes!
Meanwhile, in the US, Jennifer has become only the third female artist and sixth overall to ever have their first five albums debut in the top 10 (the others are Britney Spears, LeAnn Rimes, Snoop Dogg, Ja Rule and DMX). She also becomes only the tenth female artist to have ever had five top 10 debuts.

There have been many rumors concerning the 3rd single but this should be it. This was posted on the official Sony Music UK site but there’s been no word if this will be a single in the USA too, or if there will be a different single released in the USA or no single at all.

She needs to release “step into my world” here, Cherry Pie, I feel can be successful in Europe, but the US likes different musical blends and beats…Its not storng enough for the US market….”Step into My World” is the Hottest single on the album and I am sure it will bring Jennifer Back on Music Television stations and Radio Stations…write to her and let her know we all want SIMW as the next single….

Oh no not this song, I love her and the album, it’s not my favorite at all, I honestly could not sing along with the song cause I never listen to it, she should have released Step Into My World, or I Got You or something else.

i like Cherry Pie and as usually, i think jen will do a blazin video, hot choreography, and a tight concept…but honestly…i don’t think it should be the 3rd single! i think Step Into My World should be the 3rd single. after all, it is one of the best tracks on the album. and i think Whatever U Wanna Do should be the 4th single. (if there is 1) and Cherry Pie should be the 5th. but if it is the official 3rd single 4 tha U.S., I think it will end up in the top 10. after all, Tim & Bob and Cory produced it…and they know their music. especially with the hip-hop community!

“Cherrie Pie” is the best choice she could do! It`s a hot summer song with a cool beat and a mix of R&B and Hip Hop and elements of “Prince” music. It`s my favorite song off “Rebirth” after “Get right”. In the UK this is a sure Top 3 Hit and in Germany a sure Top 10 hit, that`s what she need now! Great choice, I am so happy!

I’m actually happy it’s Cherry Pie. It’s the best (and most original) song on the album. I do like Step Into My World, but I think Cherry Pie has a better shot at being a decent sized hit (and it’s Jen’s fave song from REBIRTH too). I can’t see Sony BMG over here not releasing a third single (just wouldn’t make any sense). With record labels, though, you can never second guess them…

i think jennifer needs to take a poll on her website, like she did for the 3rd single of this is me…then. even though i like cherry pie…it shouldn’t be the 3rd single. the singles should have been released in this order after GET RIGHT and HOLD YOU DOWN:
1. STEP INTO MY WORLD
2. WHATEVER U WANNA DO
3. CHERRY PIE
4. I GOT U
but i think jen knows what she’s doing…so whatever she decides is ok with me. (even though i think the 3rd single should be STEP INTO MY WORLD!!!!)

i would prefer if she released 1 of my top 3 but it doesnt matter coz cherry pie iz a good track and its not az deep az da others making it a light track for the summer although i must admit that i don’t think it will do as well as ryde or die, i got u or step into my world :|but its all good- luv u jen!

I think that CHP won’t be a hit, it’s a strange song. Many people are disapointed this Jen’s choice, because they say CHP won’t be more popular than HYD, because CHP is about nothing. SIMW is very interesting and it’s very popular at airplay lists. I don’t who is resposible for choices of singles, but I think CHP is 2nd trashy song which helps REBIRTH to reach the bottom. It’s difficult for me but IMO Jen is not interested in success of the album, but it’s not of my bussiness. I hope that Jen will realese 4th singel, and that it’ll be SIMW!

Reza, I don’t know why either.. “(Can’t Believe) This is Me” has staying power imo. I love the musical arrangement of it, how it sets a mood immediately. I also really like “Still Around.”

I feel that Chery Pie would not be as successful in the US as it would be in European Markets. I feel that due to the reight of hip-hop and r$b, Jennifer is better off releasing Step Into My World, Ryde or Die, or Even I Got U.
A strong 3rd single could affect her album sales and in the end provide much better figures for Rebirth.

Yeah STEP INTO MY WORLD IS DEF. a Hot Hot Track..we all agree…let’s make this the THIRD single in the US!.. If you can call your local radio stations some of them have it…if it starts to get airplay then Jenn’s people will get word that THIS has to be the next single..I also agree “THIS IS ME” is a great single and it should be her 4th and final from the album…she can link it to her spanish album since she’ll have the spanish version on that album which is due out later this year…it is a beautiful song and her voice sounds incredible in it. It can WIN her credibility and it has the power to be ..chart topic ballad like any of Mariah’s or Whitney’s in the past…write to hear and let her know what you think (although you wont get a response atleast we hope that your voice will be heard)

This is my brazilian opinion: I think “Whatever You Wanna Do” should be the third single and “Step Into My World” should be the fourth. The spanish album could be released next year. “Cherry Pie” is not a song to become a single!

Cherry pie is a good song, and since she wrote it, at least she would get more recognition.
(Can’t Believe) This is Me is a good choice for the same reason, and that it sounds like it’s about ben (hahahaha). Step into my world would be good cause it is breezy and great to listen to. As long as Jlo lets out another single! It seems like an eternity since Hold U Down came out!
