I also will purchase the Emancipation Of Mimi because I love the new style Mariah has obtained…It’s fresh, exactly what Mariah needed to revive her career….You don’t have to hate on MC because she is a rival of Jlos…just support Jlo and Mariah…We already know Jlo shined the last 4 years when Mariah was gone touring and what not…This should be very interesting with the 2 having both albums released within weeks of each other…Right now the odd thing is that radio is supporting mariahs single way more the Jlos…which is a first in MC’s career. My prediction is that they will have very close to the same amount of sales for both of there albums..we shall see.

Just to clear things up, J-Lo is one year and 2 months older. Mariah signed her record contract over 17 years ago yes, but Jennifer Lopez is older. Mariah was born in 1970 and J-Lo 1969. Now, I have respect for both artist.

J-Lo is a better dancer and has a better career as an actress…Jennifer Lopez has made some very wise career decisions, and has had 4 number 1 singles.

Mariah is a better singler, she has had 15 number 1 singles, and over 160 million albums sold. She has success that is no longer available these days, with piracy and downloading…Therefor we will never know if JLO could reach the status as the best selling female artist. Mariah is on a completely different level than JLO so to compare the two is ignorant. I personally think JLO has catchy songs and eye catching videos while Mariah has longevity and creativity in her music that is not like JLO’s. To say that JLO will be around for 16 more years would be ignorant and nieve, but I will say I own all of JLO’s albums and plan on buying Rebirth because I enjoy her music and videos. There is a more mature outlook on the whole situation.
