WOOD ‘ACCIDENTALLY’ PAINTS J.LO

Tuesday, December 7th, 2004

ROLLING STONES rocker RONNIE WOOD has painted a portrait of Latina diva JENNIFER LOPEZ – by mistake.

The bass guitarist, who is a keen artist, was preparing for an exhibition at London’s Theatre Royal when he sketched a girl with an out of proportion derriere.

He reveals, “I drew this big bum and I didn’t know who it belonged to.

“I decided it was J.Lo – so there she is.”

LOPEZ REFUSES TO HOLD DOWN SAUCY MAN

Friday, December 3rd, 2004

JENNIFER LOPEZ failed to see the funny side at the London launch of her latest album, REBIRTH, when an enthusiastic audience member asked her to hold him down.

The Latina beauty was presenting her new work – recorded entirely in Spanish – at the capital’s Soho Hotel venue when she announced she was going to play the song HOLD YOU DOWN, to which the excited man shouted back, “Yes please!”

A clearly not amused Lopez coldly replied, “I mean that as in the ghetto meaning of hold you down.”

LOPEZ TEAMS UP WITH STEP-DAUGHTER

Friday, December 3rd, 2004

JENNIFER LOPEZ is making sure all her family are getting involved in her music comeback – she has hired her stepdaughter to do backing vocals.

The JENNY FROM THE BLOCK singer took time away from the recording studio to act in films including MAID IN MANHATTAN and GIGLI, but now she is back with more pop tunes.

And she asked ARIANNA ANTHONY – her husband MARC ANTHONY’s 11-year-old child – to sing on her latest single GET RIGHT, which is out next month (JAN05).

A friend says, “Jennifer was impressed with Arianna’s voice.

“She spends a lot of time with Arianna and thought it would be lovely to include her on the album.”

As some of you may have noticed recently, all comments on the web site must now go through moderation. This solution has been found to be the best in order to comment the massive amounts of spam JLo.net receives daily. We also think this will help deter people who have no positive information to contribute either.

So don’t worry if your comment doesn’t immediately appear on the web site! Give it some time and it will.

JLo Hits The Right Note In Madrid

Thursday, December 2nd, 2004

Jennifer Lopez enjoyed a night of Latin revelry when she jetted into the Spanish capital to promote her forthcoming album. The Bronx-born singer, who was accompanied by her new husband Marc Anthony, headed for one of Madrid’s top nightspots on Wednesday evening.

Those lucky enough to join the couple inside the venue were treated to a sneak preview of her latest record, as a selection of tracks from the disc were played.

Jen has been reluctant to talk about her relationship with Marc, but it seems one of her songwriters has no such reservations. Veteran hitmaker Rodney Jerkins, who has produced two tracks for the record, has revealed that the song You Got Me was inspired by the glamorous couple.

“From what I looked at on TV, from newspapers and everything, I just took that and created a song about it,” he explained. “It’s basically saying, ‘No matter what people say about relationships, about us, no matter what their view is, you got me and I got you.’ That’s the bottom line.”
