“I’m Glad” continues to stay on the Hot 100 for a 16th week, rising from #95 to #94 this week! Once again, however, she is missing from the other charts for the issue date August 16, 2003.
One year ago, “I’m Gonna Be Alright” ft. Nas was #15, down from #13 the previous week on the Hot 100.

From Billboard.com…
Jennifer Lopez and Britney Spears may soon be competing on television as well as the pop charts. Both are kicking around the idea of launching syndicated talk shows that would begin airing in fall 2004, according to experts in that market.

At the Movies: ‘Gigli’
By CHRISTY LEMIRE
The Associated Press
Perhaps it’s when he says, in an attempt to seduce her, “I’m the bull, you’re the cow.” Or when she beckons him into foreplay by lying back in bed and purring, “Gobble, gobble” - which could forever change the way you view your Thanksgiving turkey. But as pop star vehicles go, “Gigli” isn’t as insufferable as, say, last year’s Madonna-Guy Ritchie debacle, “Swept Away.” It’s more on par with Mariah Carey’s “Glitter” and Britney Spears’ “Crossroads.” If this were a movie starring two B-list actors, or two complete unknowns, it probably would have gone straight to video. After curious masochists and J.Lo fans check it out the first weekend, “Gigli” probably will have a drop-off in audience that rivals “The Hulk” - 70 percent - then go to video. And with the release next spring of Kevin Smith’s “Jersey Girl,” in which they also co-star, we can have this little conversation all over again.

This weekend showed a bad opening for Gigli, which brought in a mere $3.8 million. The movie’s R rating did not help it any either, since that limits the audience who may watch it - especially teenagers. The top ten list is as follows, with Gigli tying for #7:
1. “American Wedding,” $34.3 million
2. “Spy Kids 3D: Game Over,” $20.1 million
3. ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl,’ $19.1 million
4. ‘Seabiscuit’ $17.5 million
5. “Bad Boys II,” $12.7 million
6. ‘Lara Croft Tomb Raider,’ $11.3 million
7. (tie) ‘Finding Nemo,’ $3.8 million
7. (tie) ‘Gigli,’ $3.8 million
9. ‘The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen,’ $3.2 million
10. ‘Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines,’ $2.9 million
The second sequel to “American Pie” was #1 this weekend, bringing in $34.3 million.
